Today at 12:15 p.m., Celentano School conducted a practice Fire Drill. There was no actual emergency. The purpose of this drill is to practice procedures for safety purposes. Students are under the direct supervision of school staff throughout this exercise. The drill concluded in a matter of minutes.
The school conducts “Fire” and “Lockdown Drills” periodically throughout each school year.
In the case of a true emergency, the school would be in contact with parents with important information.

We want to make you aware that our building’s air conditioning is currently experiencing some inconsistencies. The district is fully aware of the issue and maintenance teams are actively working on a resolution.
As outdoor temperatures rise today, parts of the building are becoming warmer than usual. Please rest assured that our students’ comfort and well-being are our top priorities. We are closely monitoring the situation, ensuring all students have frequent water breaks, and rotating classes into cooler spaces throughout the building as needed.

As the school year comes to a close, I’m feeling incredibly sentimental and proud. It has been an honor to work with the wonderful students across all our New Haven MathCounts sites this year! We’ve shared so many moments of laughter, curiosity, athletic enrichment, and academic growth.
Thank you for your continued support and patience. It truly takes a village, and I could not have done it without your encouragement and dedication.
Please note that the last day of the New Haven Math Counts Program for your site will be Wednesday, May 13th, or Thursday, May 14th. Final Friday Soccer games will continue to happen on the 22nd and 29th (playoffs).
As we wrap up, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all our tutors, volunteers, site coordinators, parents, and students for another successful year. Your commitment and energy made a real difference at every school site. We will send an update in June related to the Spring soccer league and overall math growth.
I hope you all have a safe and wonderful summer filled with playing and making lifelong memories. Thank you for trusting me with your children this year. Getting to know each of them and watching their growth has been one of my greatest joys.

A medida que el año escolar llega a su fin, me siento increíblemente nostálgica y orgullosa. ¡Ha
sido un honor trabajar con los maravillosos estudiantes de todas nuestras sedes de New Haven
Math Counts este año! Hemos compartido tantos momentos de risas, curiosidad, enriquecimiento
deportivo y crecimiento académico.
Gracias por su continuo apoyo y paciencia. Realmente hace falta toda una comunidad para
lograrlo, y no podría haberlo hecho sin su aliento y dedicación.
Por favor, tengan en cuenta que el último día del programa New Haven Math Counts en su
localidad será el miércoles 13 de mayo o el jueves 14 de mayo. Los partidos finales de fútbol de
los viernes continuarán celebrándose los días 22 y 29 (fase de eliminatorias).
Al concluir esta etapa, quiero expresar mi más sincero agradecimiento a todos nuestros tutores,
voluntarios, coordinadores de esta localidad, padres y estudiantes por otro año exitoso. Su
compromiso y energía marcaron una verdadera diferencia en cada una de las sedes escolares.
